Don’t Trouble the Trouble: Can OTT Save Rajamouli’s Brand?

Don't Trouble the Trouble on Netflix

Fahadh Faasil’s debut Telugu film as a lead actor, Don’t Trouble the Trouble directed by Shashank Yeleti and presented by SS Rajamouli, was released in theatres on October 2nd.

Since SS Rajamouli presented the film and Fahadh Faasil‘s performance in the Pushpa franchise was a huge success, many believed that Don’t Trouble the Trouble would emerge as a blockbuster hit and give a solid debut for Fahadh Faasil as a lead actor in Telugu.

However, shockingly, it ended up as a terrible disappointment and many viewers shared negative responses after watching it in theatres. Consequently, due to the poor word of mouth, Don’t Trouble the Trouble crashed at the box office and ended its theatrical run with a disaster status.

Following the underwhelming theatrical run, Don’t Trouble the Trouble is now all set to stream on Netflix with a four-week OTT window starting October 30th in five languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

Even though Fahadh Faasil is one of the finest performers in South India and has been part of many successful biggies, over the last few years, none of his solo lead films have emerged as successful ventures and he is striving for a hit.

Because many films that failed in theatres have become successful ventures on OTT, we have to wait and watch whether Don’t Trouble the Trouble will receive positive reactions from OTT audiences and bring some relief to Fahadh Faasil during this rough phase of his career.
