Drishyam 3: Why Fans Celebrating, Critics Worrying?

Director Jeethu Joseph, in a recent event, confirmed that he has completed the script work for Drishyam 3, which has now gone viral.

Drishyam, starring Mohanlal and Meena in lead roles, is one of the most celebrated mystery thrillers in Indian cinema.

Following the success of the first part, Drishyam 2, released directly on OTT during COVID in 2021, also ended up as a blockbuster venture.

Even though Drishyam 2 was a successful venture and had a lead at the end for Part 3, many people expected that there wouldn’t be a Part 3, as they felt that a story with just one murder case’s mystery couldn’t be stretched for three parts.

However, Director Jeethu Joseph himself has confirmed that he has completed the script work for Drishyam 3, and shooting will start soon.

Following this, while many people started celebrating the update, some critics, in contrast, are responding that if a single murder case’s story is dragged for a third part, it might end up as a flop and even spoil the legacy, as to some extent, the curiosity and suspense factor of the story may get saturated.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how Drishyam 3 is going to take shape and whether it also emerges as a blockbuster venture similar to the previous parts.
