Akhil Akkineni is five films old in the Telugu film industry but is still struggling. His last film, Agent was a disaster. He was supposed to be working on a period film, Dheera as his next but the movie was put on hold considering the bad market condition and the financial condition of UV Creations.
Instead, he had taken up another project which is a rural drama in Chittoor backdrop. It will be directed by Murali Kishor Abburu who directed Kiran Abbavaram’s Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha.
The movie was supposed to be made by Ravi Teja but now ended up in Akkineni Compound. Reports are that ‘Lenin’ is the title in the consideration.
Lenin is the story of two villages in Chittoor district. Akhil will be speaking in Chittoor slang in the film.
Initially, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya were to produce the film on his Manam Entertainment Banner, but now there is another addition.
Suryadevara Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments is also on board.
Naga Vamsi is a regular producer doing back-to-back films. So, his addition to the movie will help the business.
Sree Leela is the main heroine of the film and there is another heroine as well but she is yet to be finalized.
