In a significant casting update, the highly popular senior TV actress Sakshi Tanwar has been announced to portray Mandodari, the esteemed wife of Ravan, in the upcoming mythological epic Ramayana.
Sakshi Tanwar, renowned for her strong performances across television and cinema, will grace the screen as the wife of KGF Star Yash, who has been selected to play Ravan.
While some fans of Yash may express disappointment with this choice, it’s crucial to recognize that the role of Mandodari demands depth and skill rather than mere glamour.
Adipurush learned this lesson the hard way by casting a glamorous face like Sonal Chauhan as Mandodari, a decision that didn’t resonate well with audiences.
However, with Nitesh Tiwari at the helm, a sensible decision has been made to cast a talented actress who can deliver the nuanced performance required for the role, especially in the intense confrontation scenes opposite Yash.
Sakshi has already been actively participating in script-reading sessions.
