The first ever Film School in Vijayawada

Nandi Award winning film maker Geetha Krishna is all set to open a Film School in Vijayawada in the last week of June, the first ever Film School in Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation. The renowned director is already running two Film Schools in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

The film maker is going to make the Vijayawada film school the flagship of his operations and hence we can understand that this branch is going to take up leading operations for all the centres. Though, Telugu Film Industry is still rooted in Hyderabad, such film schools will help the industry to find latest talents.

Here Geetha Krishna’s intention is noble. He wants to contribute his bit to the development of new capital city Amaravathi, by providing various courses in film making and thus creating opportunities for youth in this creative field. So the film maker is on the look out for a land that would help him construct the film school. For the time being, he is opting for a rented building.
