First South star admitted eating Beef

The beef ban and the subsequent Dadri lynching has brought a lot of flak to the present government. Recent days have seen a lot of Bollywood celebrities expressing their opinions over this issue such as Farhan Akhtar who wrote a hard hitting blurb regarding these violent outbreaks.

Over at the South Indian film industry, Kamal Haasan is the first to speak up about the incident. During the Cheekati Rajyam event, Haasan was asked to give his view over the Dadri lynching and he said that eating of beef is an individual decision. Even he used to eat beef before but has stopped eating it now.

Kamal was clearly avoiding to make any controversial statement, yet his view like many other celebrities was quite firm. Eating beef is an individual decision and the government has no business trying to stop it.
