Flipkart gonna sell groceries even

Online shopping Major, Flipkart is all set to tap a new segment by selling groceries online. There are several grocery specialist portals such as Big-Basket, ZopNow and Local Baniya and Flipkart will take on them when it starts this new line of business from the second half of the year.

Flipkart’s competitors Amazon and Snapdeal have already forayed in to the segment. Experts are of the opinion that online grocery will very soon become one of the top three most attractive segments for online retailers, after electronics and apparel.
