For ‘Palnadu’ Vishal didn’t flaunt action avatar

Southern actor Vishal Krishna is known for his action films such as Pandemkodi and Pogaru. But for his upcoming film Palnadu, a rural entertainer, he didn’t hesitate to shed his action image in order to do justice to the role. Director Suseenthiran says even though there are some action scenes in the film, Vishal did them without flaunting his action image.

The director said it wasn’t easy for him to convince Vishal to shed his action image, but he was surprised agreed to do exactly what he wanted him to do. He added that Vishal gives prime importance to script, and therefore, didn’t mind doing what the script demanded.

He said Vishal’s performance in the film will be remembered for a long time. Since it is different from characters he has played in the past, audiences will accept Vishal in this new avatar as well. Palnadu is a rural drama laced with romance and some action. The director reiterated that the action in the film will be sans panache usually found in Vishal’s films
