Gautam Menon gets Rahman for back to back films

Gautam Menon who took a long unexpected break is going to come up with films back to back. First the director is going to make a film with Simbu and later he will direct Ajith. The director was earlier roped in to direct the 50th film of Ajith but due to some last minute issues the film was shelved and in its place Mankatha. As far as Simbu goes this is the second time the two are coming together after Vinnaithaandi Varuvayya (Ye Maya Chesave in Telugu).

But the real big news more than the stars is that AR Rahman would be composing music for both the films. Rahman usually takes a lot of time on a single project and hence these back to back projects by music director for same director have taken the industry by surprise. What this also means is that Rahman after a long time will be doing more Tamil films compared to Hindi. Apart from these two Rahman is giving music for Shankar’s next and Vasanthabalan’s Kaaviya Thalaivan. There is a lot to look forward to, for the Tamil fans of AR Rahman, all of a sudden.
