A Wrong Choice for Blockbuster Remake?

We already made our opinion heard by expressing that remaking critically acclaimed more like ‘96‘ in Telugu is a bad idea. Creating the same magic with a remake is like a herculean task for the filmmakers. However, the Telugu remake rights are bought from the makers of the Tamil movie and it looks like, the remake will be soon going to be launched.

So, who will be the hero in the Telugu remake? Vijay Sethupathy and Trisha did a commendable job playing the characters and their believable chemistry made the moments work. Here, we came to hear that the makers of the remake want to bring Gopichand on board to get into Vijay Sethupathy’s shoes. But then, Gopichand is an action hero and he never tried anything like this before

Those who watched ’96’ will agree that Gopichand could be the wrong choice to play the lead actor in the blockbuster remake. However, things are yet to be finalised and let’s wait for the official confirmation. Maybe, Gopichand is thinking of an image makeover but then will this kind of character work for him? By the way, Nani and Allu Arjun’s names were the initial ones that came out. Now, it is Gopichand.
