
Thullur MRO Anne Sudheer Babu has written a book on the history of the core capital city – ‘Navyanadara Pradesh Rajdhani Gramala Charitra: Naadu – Nedu’ (The History of Capital of New Andhra Pradesh: Past and Present). This book was prepared after the extensive research in to the history of these villages basing on local inscriptions and anecdotes. Recently Sudhir presented the first copy of the book to the Chief Minister on Ugadi day.
According to the book, Thullur got its name after Sri Krishna Devaraya who belongs to Thuluva dynasty. It is said that Krishna Devaraya visited this place during 1509-1529 AD after conquering the forts at Vinukonda and Kondaveedu. He reportedly took rest in Thullur for some time. There are many such interesting facts about all the 29 villages in the book.
