Hansika, 1st celeb to take up Ice Bucket Challenge

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALC) Ice Bucket Challenge arrived in India and took Bollywood by storm. One after the other, the celebs are taking up the ice bucket challenge and emptying a bucket full of ice on their heads and posting the video on their social networking account walls. Down South, Hansika became the first celeb to take up the challenge and post the video on Facebook. Not only she took up the challenge, Hansika even donated money for the cause of creating awareness for the disease.

This ALS challenge is a way to create awareness for the disease among masses by way of attracting through Ice Bucket Challenge. After Hansika, a foray of celebs are taking up the challenge. Tennis star Sania Mirza, badminton star Jwala Gutta followed suit. Many others are soon to follow. Some like Jwala are doing it in open and others are doing it privately; shooting and posting the videos on social sites. The high profile celebs include Satya Nadella and Bill Gates of Microsoft even.
