Hardly a Month, Latest Movie on YouTube

Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu starrer ‘Gayatri‘ came to theatres on 9th February. It had hardly been a month, the film was uploaded on Manchu Vishnu’s Youtube channel and quickly the video was removed and therefore, it was made unavailable.

Was it a mistake or will be available soon? Coming to the present trend, the revenue from Youtube channel ads and Amazon Prime has become one of the sources for small films as they are unable to cope with the pirated versions making it to the internet and the social media, otherwise.

On the other hand, this trend is killing the interest of the audiences to come to theatres as they are getting into a relaxed mood to anyway watch the movie online at home, which would be made available within a few weeks after the release. If they don’t release the legal print, piracy will kill the movie. But, this growing trend to release a new movie on YouTube or Amazon Prime is turning a major threat in the long run.
