Teaser Talk: Fresh Setup Sans Punch

Pawnan Kalyan, for the first time in his career is playing a warrior in a period film. The film in discussion is Hari Hara Veera Mallu which has been in the production for a while now.

The teaser of the film was unveiled today and it gives a feeler of what’s to come. Pawan’s look as a warrior is fresh for starters. But we shall wait till the theatrical release to see how this attempt transcends in a full fledged manner given that Pawan hadn’t done anything even remotely close to this in the past.

Getting the Telugu audience with such period subjects is not and easy task and the team must deliver in terms of visuals, sound, and storytelling to tick this box. The casting of Bobby Deol as Mughal Emperor is Good.

The BGM by Keeravani is standard. More elevation bits are perhaps expected in the action shots featuring Pawan. One such shot with action and elevating BGM would have given a different high altogether.

That being said, it should be a fresh experience to watch Pawan in such a set-up period world. His action avatar looks exciting. One shot reminded Pawan Kalyan’s Martial Arts background of the previous years.

Krish’s name has returned as the director of the film, after being excluded from the earlier posters. The makers say AM Jothi Krishna will complete the remaining film in the supervision of Krish.

The teaser sets the stage for what’s to come with the first part of this seemingly franchise film. The first part is releasing this year.
