Harm or Hype? Hindi Hero on Telugu Director!

Ranbir Kapoor is a busy man these days as he is promoting his upcoming romantic comedy film, Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar. During one of the interviews, he extensively spoke about his other upcoming film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Ranbir said that when Sandeep narrated the script of Animal for the first time, he just went inside the restroom and looked at himself in the mirror, and felt scared for the first time for a story or a character in his life. He said that it was extremely exciting for him to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on such a badass gangster drama, which is also a father-son love story.

When compared to South films, Bollywood films have always been softer and milder when it comes to violence. So what Ranbir considers wild and badass by Bollywood standards might turn out to be mid for the audience who have witnessed such badassery umpteen times in the south movies.

So by giving such hype to Animal, Ranbir is just creating over expectations among the public. And if the film fails to meet the expectations of the audience, then all these claims would turn out to be harmful to the film.
