The actor, who played a character with a negative shade, is happy with the success of the film and said that he accepted that role because he didn’t want to limit himself as an actor. He said that he doesn’t wanted to be typecast as an actor and suitable only for certain kind of films.

Aamir is very particular that he doesn’t repeat his roles and he feels that’s what has worked in his favour. He said he has constantly worked hard towards choosing diverse roles in his films in the last few years. From a college student in 3 Idiots to a righteous cop in Talaash, Aamir agreed to do the negative role in Dhoom 3 because it was different and something he hasn’t tried before.

The film, which was approximately made on a budget of INR 100 crore, has minted over INR 250 crore at the box-office. Worldwide, it released in about 4000 screens and raked in over INR 300 crore.
