The latest song from Devadas continues to showcase the senior music director Mani Sharma’s old style of songs and melody with a slightly modern touch. The new song Hey Babu is a typical melody that defined the musician at his prime.

The male singer Karthik makes us feel we are back in time. The melody and singing are neat and catchy without too much modernity or the present cacophonous sounds. However, it is not the kind that will be chartbuster musically, and a lot depends on the picturization which looks decent based on the images in the lyrical video.
