Hiked Ticket Rates Might Make Biggie Fall Faster

Like every enthusiastic movie-goer, we want ‘Saaho‘ to emerge the biggest blockbuster, and continue writing history for the Telugu films in the Bollywood market. Leaving that aside, the ticket rates for ‘Saaho’ were hiked and trade analysts see it as not a nice and wise move.

Hiking ticket rates is an advantage because it can ensure big opening day collections and help a movie to even create records. But, on the other hand, there is a disadvantage as well. If the content of the biggie doesn’t work, then the hiked ticket rates might prove detrimental.

How? Once a biggie gets a poor opening talk, the collections tend to fall faster leaving no scope for redemption. Without the hiked rates, even a mixed talk will allow the biggie not to drop down so quickly.

The recent example was Aamir Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘. The movie collections dropped so drastically that it became one of the biggest disasters in the recent past.

Hiked prices for ‘Saaho’ might be good for the opening figures. The rest depends on how the director delivered the content. Let’s hope positive for Prabhas’ movie coming after he achieved pan-Indian craze.
