Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki had its theatrical debut on the 27th of this month and the film is currently on a dream run at the box office. Coming to the topic, the film has started off on a super bright note at the Hindi box office as well.
As per the latest update, Kalki has hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the North Indian belt. A superb first Sunday has greatly helped the cause of the film.
After a Rs 69-crore-nett opening 3 days(Thursday, Friday, Saturday), the film went bonkers on Sunday and hit the mighty Rs 38 crore mark. The tally has now shot steeply and touched the Rs 107 crore mark.
More interestingly, the projections are such that Kalki will easily zoom past the Rs 200 crore mark in Hindi and trek even higher based on the second-weekend run.
Generally, the mass belts in the Hindi circuit are not very receptive of futuristic films but that is not the case with Kalki now as the film is going equally strong in the class Mumbai belt and also the mass belts of Bihar and Punjab.
At this rate, Hindi could be the biggest contributor to the film’s revenue, even more than the Telugu belt. this is going to be an epic achievement for the film.
