Hindus Outrage: Pushpa 2 Kissik Dance @ Tirumala

Allu Arjun’s upcoming ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ seems to be in the news one way or the other.

It seems that a new controversy has stemmed out of its infamous song ‘Kissik’. Recently, a woman dancing to the song at the foot of the sacred Tirumala Hills in an Instagram reel has sparked massive outrage.

The video was filmed near Alipiri gate, considered to be a sacred point for pilgrims heading for Tirumala Temple.

The woman is being bashed for allegedly destroying the sanctity of a holy site with her inappropriate actions.

Allu Arjun’s immense popularity among fans, and the success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ have played great roles in boosting the sequel’s anticipation.

This, in turn, has led to ‘Kissik’ becoming highly popular, skyrocketing it to the top as the latest social media trend. But performing the song in such a devotional setting has definitely hit the nerve of many devotees.

Social media is expectedly livid on this issue, with anger flowing left, right and centre. One user said, “This is not Bollywood or Tollywood; this is Tirumala. Respect the sanctity of the place.”

Another angrily remarked, “There is a time and place for entertainment, and this is certainly not it.”

The age-old debate between balancing modern cultural trends with respected traditional norms continues to be reignited with this issue, as authorities are yet to comment on the situation.
