How Bhansali won over Rajamouli!

As Telugu audiences, it might be very hard for us to digest that Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the National Award for Best Director for his film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ putting up a tough fight with none other than Rajamouli for ‘Baahubali’.

But the jury felt that Bhansali’s product is better than what Rajamouli has delivered. We know that ‘Baahubali’ is technically sound and could reach to the level of international standards, but there are other factors that go in selecting a best director.

As a director, Bhansali’s end product was better in the sense taking into consideration the performances he could draw from his actors and other details of film making. The jury agrees that it had been a tough fight and Rajamouli lost it to Bhansali only with a narrow margin.
