Hyderabad to become ‘Flyover’abad!

In a bid to make Hyderabad a global city, Telangana government on Saturday had accorded administrative approvals for the construction of as many as 20 multi-level flyovers and junctions in GHMC limits. The project will cost approximately 2631 Crore and the payments will be made in 20 installments to the developer.

The tender process for this Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) will be completed in a month. GHMC is in consultations at national level to appoint a consultant by Monday or Tuesday. SRDP is envisaged at de-congesting the city and putting an end to the traffic woes of the city.

The government wants to complete the project in three years and latest before the next elections to impress the people. The project is likely to go up to 4051 Crore with the cost of the land acquisition.
