I Was Pretty Fat – Raashi Khanna

Discovering herself and her growth as a person, Raashi Khanna attributed the growth to the characters she has played on the screen. The first role that had influenced her was ‘Oohalu Gusa Gusalaade’. Thinking like the girl who is as matured as the character she played in the film made an impact on her says Raashi.

The second film that really tapped her comic sense was ‘Supreme’. She didn’t know that she has this ability to bring out the comic side in her. “I used to be pretty fat and laugh at myself,” revealed Raashi, adding that this trait in her was the reason why she could understand what it means like doing a comedy. The next film that changed her was obviously, ‘Tholi Prema’.

Playing a character in three different phases of life, from teenager to a matured woman also has a huge influence on her personality, said Raashi. Raashi stays with her parents in Hyderabad. According to her, like her character in ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam‘, hers is an old school of thought that gives high regard to family. That’s why family comes first to her. By the way, ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ is coming to theatres tomorrow (US Premieres).
