Pushpa: The Rise struck gold at the box office and clinched National Film Awards for Allu Arjun and Devi Sri Prasad. Last night, October 21, Mythri Movie Makers hosted a party for the National Award winners.
During the event, Allu Arjun spoke candidly about how he and Devi were considered useless when they were kids by his father Allu Aravind.
Recalling his conversation with Allu Aravind after getting the award, Bunny humorously recounted how he asked, “Daddy, did u ever imagine that two waste people like me and Devi who never even got a minimum certificate from the school principal in Chennai would go and receive a medal from the President of the country?”
Bunny also spoke highly about Sukumar. He said that Sukumar is the real achiever while he is the achievement. It is Sukumar Garu who made him get the National Award.
Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2’ will star Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna as lead roles in the film and is slated to release on August 15, 2024.
