Shankar’s Worst Nightmare Just Got Worse

Kamal Haasan’s Indian-2, which hit theaters on July 12, 2024, and tanked quite badly, is now streaming on Netflix. The film, directed by Shankar and featuring a cast including Siddharth and S. J. Suryah, has been widely slammed by critics and audiences alike.

The movie was a disaster in theaters, and the streaming release has made things even worse for Shankar and his team. The OTT release of Indian 2 on Netflix is causing more damage than its theatrical release.

Viewers who missed it on the big screen are now joining the flood of social media criticism, with the film becoming a meme target for its dreadful plot and execution.

Indian-2 is being labeled as one of the worst films in Shankar’s career, with many calling it an excruciating watch.

The harsh criticism extends to both the director and lead actor Kamal Haasan. Social media is exploding with anger and heartbreak for the film’s lack of quality, with users questioning how a celebrated director like Shankar could make such an atrocious film.

Kamal Haasan is being mocked for his poor performance and questionable dialogue delivery, leaving fans disillusioned after his acclaimed comeback in Vikram.

Despite Shankar’s previous films I and 2.0 falling short of expectations, he never faced such intense backlash. No one thought finding a good scene in a Shankar film would become a challenge. But Indian-2 has achieved that rare feat for having not a single standout moment.

The backlash is so severe that even anticipation for Shankar’s next film, Game Changer, is dwindling. Indian 2’s disastrous reception has left fans and critics wondering if Shankar can ever recover from this colossal blunder.
