Indian 3: Shankar’s Salary Sacrifice Story Sparks Doubts

Ever since the official announcement of Indian 3 dropped, social media has been flooded with positive discussions and theories regarding the project.

Following the announcement, many people became curious about how, all of a sudden, the makers of Indian 3 restarted the pending work for the film. Even though there has not been any official news, a strong theory is now going viral on social media regarding this.

According to the theory, after the terrible failure of Indian 2, Lyca Productions held back the remuneration of both Shankar and Kamal Haasan for Indian 3, which is why the pending shoot was put on hold for a long time.

However, it seems Shankar himself reached out to the makers and reportedly agreed not to take his salary for the third part until the film’s release. Furthermore, in return, he asked Lyca Productions not to cut costs on the VFX and remaining post-production work so they could deliver the film as intended.

At the same time, a popular Kollywood insider stated in a YouTube video that when he spoke about the Indian 3 project with actor SJ Suryah, the actor reportedly suggested that Indian 3 would be totally different from Indian 2 and expressed confidence that it would emerge as a huge hit.

In response to these theories and news, some social media users are claiming that all this positive buzz around Indian 3 seems like a PR campaign. They argue that Indian 2 was a terrible disaster and that no one is interested in watching its sequel. Therefore, they claim that just to create some positivity among the public and build hype, the makers are using their PR team to spread false hope about Indian 3.

However, all these are just social media discussions and theories, and there are still no official updates on the matter. Hence, it remains to be seen how Indian 3 takes shape and whether it emerges as a surprise blockbuster upon its release.
