Indian 3 Back! Can Kamal & Shankar Pull Off a Miracle?

Lyca Productions has finally dropped an update regarding Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3, stating that Senapathy is back with zero tolerance and the resurgence begins.

Kamal Haasan‘s Indian 2 directed by Shankar, was initially planned as a single film. However, due to the long runtime, the makers split it into two parts. Accordingly, the first part Indian 2 was released in theatres in July 2024, with a lead-in at the end to Part 3.

Shockingly, Indian 2 ended up as a huge disappointment and a terrible loss-making venture for the production house. Subsequently, the makers put the shooting of the remaining portions of Indian 3 on hold and there have not been any updates regarding it for the last two years. Many people believed that Indian 3 would remain a shelved project.

However, Lyca Productions has recently made an official announcement confirming that the pending work for Indian 3 will resume shortly and the film will hit screens soon.

In response to this update, some Kollywood trackers on social media are suggesting that, even though Indian 2 ended up as a terrible failure, Indian 3 still has the scope to make an impact.

This is because, during the release of Indian 2, many insider sources confirmed that Indian 3 holds the major chunk of the actual plotline Shankar originally wanted to present. Due to the long runtime, the team had messed it up while splitting the film into two parts by adding a huge chunk of setup portions into Indian 2.

Hence, by pointing this out, they claim there is a strong possibility for Indian 3 to surprise the audience. If the makers execute proper promotions and release it with sufficient hype, Indian 3 has a strong chance of becoming a profitable venture.

Meanwhile, many netizens have already started criticizing the makers, suggesting that they are wasting money once again. They feel that because of the terrible failure of Indian 2, no one is interested in watching Indian 3. Therefore, they argue that the makers should leave Indian 3 as it is, instead of investing further in scrap material.

Ultimately, with the mixed reactions, it remains to be seen how Indian 3 takes shape and whether the film will emerge as a surprise blockbuster, helping Shankar and Kamal Haasan make a comeback upon its release.
