Kamal Haasan‘s highly anticipated Indian 2 directed by Shankar and released in 2024, received negative reviews from audiences and ended up as a terrible disaster at the box office.
Initially, the makers of Indian 2 planned to release the film as a single part, but due to the long runtime, they decided to split it into two parts. Accordingly, Indian 2 was released with a lead at the end for Part 3.
Since Indian 2 ended up as a terrible loss-making venture for the makers, sources claimed that Lyca Productions opted out of Indian 3 and was unwilling to invest money in shooting some remaining patch sequences, putting the release of Indian 3 on hold.
Consequently, many people thought that Indian 3 would not be released in the future and would remain an unfinished project.
However, surprisingly, according to fresh reports, the makers of Indian 3 have now started work to release the film soon and an update regarding Part 3 will be out shortly.
In response to these speculations, some social media users are suggesting that, due to the terrible failure of Indian 2, no one is interested in watching Indian 3 in theaters. They claim that if the makers resume work and invest money into this franchise again, it will result in a huge loss for them once more.
Hence, they feel the makers should leave Indian 3 as it is and that it should remain a shelved project rather than releasing it in theaters and ending up as a disaster.
