There’s a lot of pressure to be in limelight in the film industry. While some are in limelight for their work and they truly deserve it, others do things that bring them into limelight. Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of legendary musician Illayraja, has decided to convert to Islam a la A.R Rahman, who once was a Hindu.
Apparently, when asked if Yuvan was following in the footsteps of Rahman, he laughed it off saying that it was his personal choice and has nothing to do with emulating Rahman. He said he finds peace in following Islam, and, therefore, he has decided to follow it. Yuvan also clarified that his family supports his decision, including his father and their relationship is as healthy as ever.
Yuvan also rubbished rumours that he is not secretly married for the third time. He said that news about his third marriage is baseless. The 34-year old married his long time girlfriend Sujaya Chandran in 2005, but the couple got mutually separated in 2008. In 2011, he married Shilpa Mohan, with whom he currently stays
