It Is Finally Closed For Spyder

After lots of talks, the theatrical rights of Spyder in Tamil Nadu have been snapped up for a fancy price. The buzz in the trade is that the TN rights are sold for 17 Cr plus.

For some time now, there was a big talk going on regarding the theatrical rights of Spyder. There were gossips that the price asked by the makers was as high as 40 Cr. It was said that finally, things would settle somewhere in high 20’s or early 30’s. But it has turned out to be 17.4 Cr.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu dubbing rights were sold at 2 Cr previously. Now, one could understand how big Spyder rights are taken for. But a major part of the deal has to do with AR Murugadoss being director, a name to reckon with in Tamil Nadu.
