We haven’t seen her in a memorable role for a long time, and when she appears on screen, she is mostly seen in extended cameos. All that we have seen of her in the recent past are in item numbers, but Lakshmi Rai still prefers saying she doesn’t sign these songs for money.
We wonder why does she sign them then? She says she only features in item numbers that come with exciting song and music. Lakshmi adds that money is not the only criteria for her and she has turned down offers.
In the last one year, i haven’t seen her in a major role in any south Indian films. All i see her doing is dancing to item numbers or playing small cameos like the one she played in Vikram’s Shiva Thandavam.
