Actor Mohan Babu when naming his 2010 film Jhummandi Naadam used Padma Shri in the title. This has come to bite him in the back since it has raised some political controversies. He is now in the middle of a legal plight since a division bench of the AP High Court found fault with his usage of the title. This has come in response to a petition filed by Indrasena Reddy who is a senior leader of BJP and has also charged Mohan Babu previously for improper usage of his title in Denikaina Reddy.
However, Vishnu Manchu is apparently not daunted by the prospects and has even stated that Mohan Babu will continue using the title according to the due procedure in Doosukeltha and that will also make use of the title in Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda (PPT).
Vishnu asked a valid question how in any way could improve ticket collections by using Padma Shri in title cards, this is just to gain political mileage, he feels. However when it comes to legal battle the Manchus are clearly willing to take some risks!
