If you’re asking why Samantha would sign a film with Suriya again after the debacle of Anjaan, the answer is Vikram Kumar, who had directed her in last year’s Telugu blockbuster Manam. Samantha was bowled over Vikram’s 24, which is said to be a racy thriller to be made on international standard. In case of Vijay’s 59th film, she placed her faith in director Atlee, whose debut film Raja Rani mightily impressed her and left her teary-eyed. When an opportunity came her way to work with these filmmakers again in interesting scripts, she didn’t want to let go of it. Samantha is so happy with her choice of films this year. “This year is going to be so special. The scripts, the teams and the roles. More than a dream come true. Thank you God, thank you guys. Love u (sic),” she tweeted recently.
In Telugu too, Samantha has three films this year. While she’s already shooting for Trivikram-Allu Arjun project, she’s yet to reveal information about her other two projects. But insiders hint that Samantha may team up with Naga Chaitanya in his next project, making it her third outing with the actor after Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya.
