Weak Anirudh Can’t Help Superstar This Time?

Jailer 2 Music Fails to Match Hukum Buzz

Star music composer, Anirudh Ravichander is currently focussed on his film with superstar Rajinikanth, which happens to be Jailer 2. This film is preparing for its release on October 15 and the expectations are a mixed bag.

The most concerning thing about this film is that there is literally no anticipation leading into the release other than the presence of superstar, Rajinikanth.

This is also the weakest work from Anirudh in recent times. There is a bit of quality in a couple of songs in the album, but Hukum kind of songs that made a big deal in the first part are missing here.

The very presence of Anirudh Ravichander is enough to build musical anticipation to any film, regardless of the scale and that had been the case for a while now. But this is simply not working out in the case of Jailer 2.

This can perhaps be regarded as one of the weakest musical foundation laid by Anirudh for any big film in recent times. In fact, he was on the top of the game even for Paradise, which had very little novelty going its way but had stupendous musical work by Anirudh.

But at the same time, this combination of Nelson and Rajinikanth cannot be underestimated by any stretch of imagination. They had arrived with very little anticipation during the release of the first part as well. But we all know the kind of success, the film ended up tasting.
