Jailer 2 Screenings to Stop at York Cinemas
In a sudden development, Jailer 2 screenings at York Cinemas are set to stop from October 21 due to the non-availability of valid KDMs. The theatre has issued a notice stating that the required authorization from Sun Pictures has not been received, despite fulfilling its financial commitments.
According to York Cinemas, the issue involves North American distributors Shloka Entertainments and Prathyangira Cinemas, from whom the valid KDMs were expected. Without the necessary authorization, the theatre says it cannot continue screening the film.
The development has raised questions about the distribution arrangements for Rajinikanth’s film in North America. York Cinemas has maintained that it fulfilled its financial obligations but is now being forced to stop screenings because the required authorization has not come through.
The situation puts the spotlight on the distribution side of Jailer 2, with audiences potentially affected by the sudden stoppage. Further clarity is awaited on whether the issue will be resolved and screenings can resume.
