Will It Be Two In A Row?

Post the announcement of the ban of currencies there was a lull week at the box office. It escalated fear among the trade that people were in no mood to watch movies and enjoy. A week later came the film Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada and it is doing fabulously well as we write this.

The performance of the Nikhil starrer has breathed a fresh life into the movies and now more filmmakers are coming forward with their releases. Among those films is comedian Srinivas Reddy’s Jayammu Nischayammu Raa. The makers of the film seem to be no way deterred by the ongoing currency issue. The fact is they are going ahead with the premieres of the film before release on Friday itself.

It shows not only great confidence on the part of the makers but also highlights that they are not worried about the monetary situation. Shiva Raj Kanumuri is producing and directing this film which is going to be premiered in Hyderabad (today), Vijayawada and the US on back to back days.

Films like Uyyala Jampala, Pelli Choopulu etc had such previews before release itself. We know how big success those films were. Can Jayammu Nischayammu Raa be along those lines? It might not necessary be a success on par with them but even a small level success will suffice for now. TFI wouldn’t mind having two successes in a row, would it?
