NTR-Rajeev Friendship Began On Bitter Note

Rajeev Kanakala and Jr NTR’s bonhomie is all over the industry. The duo is thick friends which began from the sets of Student No 1. While their friendship is a celebrated one in Tollywood, it didn’t start on a good note. Yes, you have read it right.

Rajeev Kanakala spilled the beans on how it started and how it went into a personal zone. “On the first day of my shoot, as I was prepping for my role, Tarak came near and says that is it necessary for me to use glasses. He passed on comments on it which made me uncomfortable,” Rajiv says.

Rajeev told Rajamouli about the discomfort, to which the latter passed it off in a jest and not to take such things seriously. “The second of the shoot Tarak made me more surprised, as he added garu as respect. I was stunned and didn’t say anything. And in the four to five days we became close and I was the only friend then,” he says.

Rajiv Kanakala then recalls a fun incident from the second schedule. As they were shooting at Ambedkar University, many artistes and junior artistes were present. “And suddenly he yells my name in a shortcut. I was surprised only to realise it was Tarak. Of course, our bond continues even now, but after marriage, we don’t hang out as frequently as earlier,” Rajiv concluded.
