July: All Disasters Month For Tollywood

July has been a disastrous month for Tollywood to say the least. Not a single new release could hold well at the box office and reap profits to those involved.

As many as four mainstream films namely Pakka Commercial, The Warriorr, Thank You and Ramarao On Duty released in July and not a single one could make it big at the box office.

Pakka Commercial was lambasted for its ineffective and cringe comedy. The Warriorr was termed a routing and boring actioner. Thank You struggled due to the slow narrative and lack of mass appeal. Ramarao On Duty is the new addition to the list and it is also going unrecognised at the ticket counters.

The worse thing is that all four of these films garnered utterly poor reviews and word of mouth right from the opening shows, thus leaving audiences with no inspiration to come to the theaters.

At a time when Tollywood was already struggling due to depleting footfalls at cinema halls, these four disasters worsened the plight further.
