Just a beginning: Police Complaint on Gopala Gopala

Even before ‘Gopala Gopala’ hit theatres, Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists already staged protests on the film claiming that the film is hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Going by the concept of the film, more and more protests were expected from fundamental religious institutions and and seems the specualtions are coming true.

One Raghunanda Rao filed a complaint on Gopala Gopala film in the Saifabad Police Station today, i.e., on Saturday alleging that the film is hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. Seems right after the first show of the movie, this Raghunanda Rao walked in to the police station. Cine observers say that this is only the beginning and more such protests and complaints are bound to happen to the movie very soon.

By all means, ‘Gopala Gopala’ would be having double benefits of having two big heroes fans supporting it and on the contrary (like Aamir’s ‘pk’), it would have to face the ire of fundamentalists who cannot accept the dialogue on fake godmen and see the film in different light. Some see this as another kind of free publicity anyway.
