This clarification came from Dhanush’s production after reports started floating that ‘Kaala‘ is a flop that ended up giving losses to the producers and distributors. The producer even thanked the superstar for giving the opportunity and the audiences for the positive response. However, it’s a known thing that ‘Kaala’ didn’t perform as expected.

The scene and the claim of the producer might be true in the case of the Tamil version. When it comes to the Telugu version, ‘Kaala’ didn’t perform according to the expected market value of Rajinikanth. But, if the producer wants to declare it as a successful venture, then it’s up to him.
