Rajini We Don’t Want the Same Old, You Are Too Old for It!

Has Superstar Rajinikanth lost a great opportunity with Kabali? One can’t help but wonder after watching the film. It’s a feeling that has been visible among all fans whoever has seen the film. Kabali was a great chance to relive the old magical days of Baasha and that chance has completely spoiled by a confused and incompetent director Ranjith.

It could be the nerves of handling such huge star on such a large scale or simply lack of confidence in him but whatever it is Ranjith utterly failed to make use of Rajinikanth. The biggest disappointment out of this experience is that it cannot be repeated again. Rajinikanth looks too old and frankly too weak to carry this gangster character again. This was one last chance for him and to see being wasted that way has broken many hearts.

Superstar, of course, has nothing to worry at box office as his next 2.0 comes under Shankar’s direction. It will be historic no doubt but the raw euphoria associated with Kabali won’t be with it. For starters, it’s a sequel of a sci-fi graphical extravaganza and secondly he shares the screen with another star. The craze will be massive but it won’t be Kabali-like. What else can the star do now at this point to recreate the Kabali hype? Any thoughts? Or do you think it has been an unfair end with Kabali?
