Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is getting bigger every day, and as per the latest update, Kajal Aggarwal has joined the main cast. The actress is reportedly playing the role of Mandodari.

An insider also opened up about the casting, saying that the character is an important part of the main storyline due to which the makers opted to cast someone who can “embody the complexities and significance” of the wife of Ravana opposite Yash.

Notably, the makers were searching for someone who was well-known among the audiences of all languages and this led to the casting of Kajal Aggarwal as she is famous in both North and South.

Considering that Ramayana has a huge star cast, it will be interesting to see how much screen space is Kajal Aggarwal getting for this film. For now, the makers have not released any poster or a teaser to the general public.

However, the casting reports and latest developments are already creating headlines and it seems like the film is expected to take a huge opening.

Moreover, Kajal Aggarwal’s casting has also increased the film’s potential to do good business outside the Hindi belts, considering that the actress is known by the Tamil and Telugu audience.
