Legendary filmmaker K. Balachander will play an important role alongside his student, actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan’s upcoming Tamil comedy “Uthama Villain”, expected to go on floors soon after the release of “Vishwaroopam 2”. Balachander, who has shaped the career of Kamal Haasan, has worked together in over 30 films with him so far.
Balachander will grow his beard for this special role that he accepted on the special request of Kamal, who has scripted the story of the film, and is also likely to produce it under his own banner. The film, which will be made in Tamil as well as Kannada, will be directed by Kannada actor and Kamal Haasan’s best friend Ramesh Arvind, also a student of Balachander.
The film will follow the story of an ageing superstar, which will be played by Kamal. We have to see how will Guru and Sishya hit it off on screen after working together for several years.
