Thug Life Too similar to Vijay’s Blockbuster?

Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5th.

Recently, the teaser for Thug Life was released and has received positive responses from audiences, further fueling expectations for the movie.

In the teaser, it was almost evident that a face-off between a father and his adopted son is going to be the major conflict of the story.

Following the teaser, some netizens on social media started to compare it with Vijay’s Jilla, which also has a similar premise, as the adopted son, Vijay, tries to control the criminal activities of his father, Mohanlal.

At the same time, some people are responding that since Thug Life was directed by Mani Ratnam, we cannot predict the movie solely from the teaser, as he always includes surprising twists.

However, Thug Life has huge expectations among the Kollywood audience, and it remains to be seen whether it satisfies those expectations and emerges as a blockbuster success upon its release on June 5th.
