After Malayalam and Tamil, its Kannada’s turn to attract

When it comes to remakes in Telugu or for that matter even in Tamil, films from Malayalam are the most sought after. In Telugu its Malayalam and Tamil remakes we usually see. In either cases Kannada films find the last preference.

However from time to time there comes a film even in Kannada that attracts all other film industries. It is that time again with the film Rangi Tharangi. This thriller made by newcomers has withstood the Baahubali onslaught and is still running to great response. Thanks to this superb run it has caught the attention of makers from Telugu and Tamil.

Once upon a time remakes like this used to be a common thing when the Kannada legend Dr Rajkumar was ruling the roost. With the recent influx of talented youngsters Kannada film industry is hoping that those days are seen again. Rangi Tharangi seems to be a film in the right direction.
