Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev was in Hyderabad promoting a Telugu film titled Dil Deewana on Wednesday. Even though he admitted this was his first association with cinema over the years and he said he had become fan of south Indian films in the last five years. He added that he enjoys watching dubbed Telugu films in Hindi or the ones that are remade in Hindi.
He wished luck to the team of Dil Deewana and wished that the makers dub the film in Hindi so that he could watch it too. Kapil had a special word of appreciation for south Indian technicians, who are now working actively in Bollywood as well. He believes the south Indian film industry has world class technicians.
Reacting to the news of Bharat Ratna being offered to Sachin, he said that he never imagined a sportsperson to receive an award of such honour. He wished many more sportsperson be awarded with Bharat Ratna too.
