Karthikeya 2 Locks OTT Streaming Partner

Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2 has opened on a strong note at the box office. After a a solid start at the Telugu box office, the film is picking up the momentum in the Hindi circuit as well.

Coming to the OTT aspect of Karthikeya 2, the film’s post theatrical OTT streaming rights are acquired by ZEE5.

The producer of Kartikeya 2, Abhishek Agarwal maintains a cordial relationship with ZEE5. His previous Hindi production venture The Kashmir Files also premiered on ZEE5.

Now, Abhishek’s latest production venture, Karthikeya 2 is also set for its OTT debut. The film has done pretty well in its opening weekend and it remains to be seen when ZEE5 will orchestrate OTT release for the film.

ZEE5 isn’t usually too aggressive when it comes to orchestrating early OTT release. The chances are that Karthikeya 2 might arrive on the platform at least 4 weeks post its theatrical release, if not later.

The film is the sequel to 2014 blockbuster Karthikeya and it is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. Anupama Parameswaran is the female lead.
