Katamarayudu First Victim Of Baahubali 2?

Is Katamarayudu starring Pawan Kalyan going to be the first victim of the magnum opus Baahubali 2? The two films are not related in any way and release a month apart, but it looks like the latter is going to have an effect on the former.

The reason for this is simple actually. The first thing is the hype on the movie Baahubali is such that it is a foregone conclusion to watch the film. With the current prices, a maximum number of audiences have already decided, Baahubali 2 to be the one where all the money would be put in. Secondly, Katamarayudu is regular commercial fare that isn’t a must watch on everyone’s list. This leaves it hanging on to word of mouth for better numbers.

The initial booking opened for Katamarayudu are already an indication on these lines. Usually, a Pawan Kalyan movie gets sold out within minutes of its opening the advances, but here most of the screens are still available.

Many thought the effect of Baahubali 2 would come after its release but now looks like the trailer is enough to do the damage. Let us see if Pawan Kalyan could do any magic at the last minute.
