KCR to be booked under contempt of Court!

Telangana government is being adamant in the implementation of the FAST program which is intended to provide financial help to only those students whose families have settled in the region before 1956. Earlier last month the Hyderabad High Court came down severely on the government for issuing a G.O. regarding the scheme. The court termed Telangana government’s actions as a hindrance to the national integrity. The court bench asked the government is they think Telangana is not in India. The Government’s counsel just brushed the issue down the carpet saying the court that it is just a proposal and the final decision is not taken.

However Telangana government has now issued a notification regarding the scheme. Government has instructed the students to apply for the documents required for the application to FAST by 15th of this month. The high court in its previous hearing instructed the government to file a counter affidavit in 6 weeks. The hearing will take place in couple of weeks. Experts say the high court will not take the issue of proceeding further on the scheme lightly.
