Following the back to back failures of Uppu Kappurambu and Revolver Rita, Keerthy Suresh is now acting as the lead in a female-centric film Kannivedi directed by Ganesh Raj, and an untitled film as the female lead alongside Mysskin.
In this scenario, reports suggest that Keerthy Suresh is now acting as the female lead in a Bollywood film titled Raftaar, in which Rajkummar Rao is playing the lead role. This film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24th. Raftaar marks the second Bollywood film for Keerthy Suresh after the failure of her debut film, Baby John.
Since none of Keerthy Suresh’s last few films emerged as a successful venture, she is now in need of a massive comeback to reclaim her market. According to trade experts, even though she is now acting in multiple languages, all her upcoming films do not feel promising.
Additionally, they suggest that apart from some critically acclaimed films, Rajkummar Rao is not a huge star in Bollywood. Therefore, they feel that Keerthy Suresh must be more selective with her picks instead of choosing everything that comes her way.
Furthermore, after the update on Raftaar went viral on social media, many netizens started commenting that due to continuous failures in the South, it seems Keerthy Suresh has moved to Bollywood to try her luck.
They claim that, although only a few months are left before the release of Raftaar, there isn’t any hype for the film and no one even knows that Keerthy Suresh is doing her second Bollywood film. Consequently, they feel it is evident that Keerthy Suresh is currently in a very tragic phase of her career.
However, it remains to be seen how Raftaar is going to take shape and whether it emerges as a surprise blockbuster success, helping Keerthy Suresh make a comeback in her acting career upon its release.
